Hi! I'm Betsy Komarchuk, an artist and educator living in the Denver area. Inspired by color and space, my artwork uses a variety of hues and textures that enhance subjects and emphasizes emotion. My diverse interest in many different media is evident in my work as I am constantly exploring new ways to tell a story through art.

Art is not meant to be one-dimensional. It's meant to be explored and felt with every ounce of my being. I firmly believe in peeling back as many different layers as you can to get to the nitty gritty of your emotions. It's my story, and I can tell it however I see fit. With my art, I'm completely in charge. And nothing is more exciting than that. My hope is that others will be inspired by my Ah-Hah moments and can share in that excitement with me.

I earned my Bachelors of Fine Arts from Bowling Green State University and am a 5th generation artist/art teacher in my family. Inspiring students to find their voice through artistic expression is a huge passion of mine and helps to fuel my creative energy, which is why you can find me teaching when I'm not creating in my studio.
